Fragrance Ink
Fragrance ink (also known as scented or aromatic ink) contains microcapsules filled with fragrance oils. When the printed surface is rubbed or scratched, the capsules break and release a pleasant scent – adding an olfactory dimension to your printed materials.
How it works:
Microcapsules (5–50 µm) are mixed into the ink. They remain intact during printing. After drying, friction or heat breaks them, releasing the fragrance. The scent intensity can be controlled by adjusting capsule concentration.
Common scents & uses:
Scents: Rose, citrus, lavender, ocean, vanilla, peach, coffee, jasmine (custom blends available).
Applications: Magazines, cosmetic packaging, children's books, luxury brochures, greeting cards, and promotional items.
